Transition period

Final hours..... i'm so nervous.  I don't know what i can do.  All packed and ready to go.  Not much emotions running through me, jus blank!  Will miss my mum.... my dad.... my pa.... my dear friends....  It's been a great time in London, so many fond memories.  Will forever cherish this period of time.  May not be the best years of my life, but I did learn alot and grew up to see life living here.  It's been great but it's time to bid farewell.  So long now my friend...... Thanx for everything.

Well, it's time for me to leave this place.  The city i've been living for the past 3 years and 4months.  Gosh, i'm going to miss it and everything that comes with it.  My parents... my friends... and the freedom.  Now i'm wondering what i should do in the final hours.  Last day tomorrow, it all seems soooo sad.  There's so many things that I want to do but never got around to it, thinking that i'll have plenty of other opportunities, guess there isn't much now.  *sigh*  A sense of regret.  The only consolation is maybe i'll get to come visit again with the supposedly cheap fares proposed by Airasia.  Let's see how it goes, fingers crossed!

First it was Take That (TT), now Boyzone.  Wow, when was it that boybands started to make a come back?  Did I miss something here.  Still remember the time when it all started.

 

My first ever boyband which I can remember is New Kids on the Block.  Oh, the punky 5, I still can remember my cousin and I dancing to their songs.  TT was around that time i guess but I wasn't really into them, just vaguely encountered my friends sobbing when the news broke that they were breaking up.  I was in Standard 6 then, long time ago, I was half my age then.    Then along came Boyzone, hate to admit it but I was a fan.  Yes, bought all their albums, posters, calendars, sticker books and pictures.  Couldn't remember if i saw them live before but I did get an autograph from Stephen Gately after they went solo.  Then there were the Backstreet Boys, ah, who could forget their rauchy shirt-tearing in the rain mtv or vampire-like dance moves.  Also, 911 (no emergency calls there), 5ive (that's how it was spelt), Moffats (the famous Mmmbop song), N'Sync, blue, westlife (very much alive till now) and A1.  I'm sure there were a few more but I can only recall so much. 

 

Anyhow, read from the news that tt's newest album is quite a hit, top 10 on charts.  Pretty impressive.  I guess that's one reason why boyzone are considering a get together as well but they do have an advantage to have a full line-up.  Unlike Robbie who is staying away from tt but who could blame him with his successful solo career.  I've yet to listen to his latest album, 'Rudebox', hope it's good.  Now IF boyzone really makes it back again, will all the other boybands do the same?  Another era of boyband pop music.  WOW, shocking!

Oh gosh, it's the end of the month yet again.  What's worse is that it's the end of the year!  Another year here, ahh...... this seems like the worst winter ever.  Not due to the weather (it's not too bad this year) but due to nothingness in my life.  Seriously, i've nothing to look forward to.  The previous 3 winters, I at least have exams & tests in Jan but now, nothing!  What a bleak winter.  I guess it partly dawns on me that it's time for me to move on, go home and enjoy the warmth and familiarity of home. 

 

When I think of seriously packing up and leave, I suddenly miss home.  A wave of nostalgia passes through me, home..... comfort zone.  I know, it might not be too bad for me here to have both my parents with me, but it still affects me.  Suddenly, all the food comes to mind!  Haha... not surprising but I seem to have a top 10list of food I want to accomplish when I get home within a week.  I'm horrible huh but I haven't been home for..... 3years and 3months, that's 1194days and counting.  Seems pretty long.  4 winters is enough though I would love to spend another spring here, the best season of all.  Not that it is very apparent in London but better than tropical all year round.

 

Not only that, I turn another year older.... so sad.  I think IF I was given a choice, I would love to stay 18forever.  haha..... 16seems to young and 21 is nothing special.  18 is good.... not a great year then, tough.  Very tough.  Anyhow, 18 seems like a nice number and good age.  Agree?

 

Well, leaving means a truly end to student life.  A truly new beginning.......

 

 

No no.... nothing to do with the song, just a title.  Finally finished unpacking my new place, it looks pretty okay if I dare say so myself.  After everything is cleared away, the room looks pretty huge.  It's almost 2double rooms combined into one.  Anyhow, my convocation is tomorrow.  After almost 6months, we'll wear our robes and cap in the freezing winter.  And hopefully no rain but with london weather, we'll never know.  Forecasted to rain so..... not expecting too much.  Will get to meet loads of parents and I believe a friend of mine will loathe to see hers.  Haha..... Hopefully all goes well tomorrow and the grad party is something to look forward to.  Cheers!

Ah... finally finish moving.  I simply hate moving homes, not fun at all.  All the packing and unpacking, takes too much time and energy.  I've yet to unpack, shall just leave it for tomorrow.  I moved from the second floor to another second floor!  So just imagine the amount of carrying my dad and I did today, 4 flight of stairs down, and another 4 flight of stairs up.  And the stairs in uk is steep. Gosh, my back nearly went backwards and I can't seem to stand straight now.  Always seem to be unbalanced and tipsy.  Haha..... poor dad of mine, he had to carry so much.  Pity his back.  Oh well, the old place is simply too expensive to afford.  Now, much cheaper as we're renting from an old lady.  Huge attic and all......

 

Can't wait to get my phone line and internet connected.  Not very efficient here, service is as slow as back home.  Oh well, at least they are sending the telephone guy over tmr.  I was surprised!  Thought I had to wait a week or two.  No complains there.  In the mean time, thank god to the nice and generous souls out there who provides wireless coverage. 

Aww..... I just finished the newest episode of gilmore girls, and it's ever sooooo sweet.  Much sweeter than the movie date episode.  If only, it's meant to be the end but it's not.  Tv series will not end as it is, there'll be a twist!  And i hate twists!!!  I starting to get hooked on series.  Actually, I'm hooked.  If only, there's american tv instead of boring ole english ones. Sad.... all they can do it hollyoaks, eastenders and.... coronation st.  And there's this new one, Heroes, it seems pretty good as well.  The series is a cross between xman and 24, i think. Haha..... I like the Japanese guy, Hiro, his dumb and naive personality, makes him ever so cute and likable character.  And there's jess from gg who's in it as well.  Ahhh, can't wait till next week for more.
